In Berlin around 14.000 individuals are injured in road accidents each year. Most of the victims are children, teenagers, young adults and elderly people. The Berlin urban development department is working to provide increased safety for all road users by means of different measures.
The projects and programmes for mobility and road safety education are important elements of our work for more road safety. They aim at considerably reducing the number of road accident casualties.
