The Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development advertised in 2010 the first Europe-wide Urban Intervention Award.
The goal of the Urban Intervention Award is to contribute significantly to the improvement of life quality in urban settings and to challenge processes of urban cooperation. The Urban Intervention Award honours outstanding realized projects, which are examples of excellent architecture combined with new innovative utilization.
