The Plant Protection Office Berlin, in cooperation with the TFH Berlin, University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, has developed and tested new strategies to control the horse chestnut leaf-miner Cameraria ohridella DESCHKA & DIMIC, 1986 in the city of Berlin.
The project was based on preliminary studies conducted by the Plant Protection Office Berlin from 1998 to 2003, and findings and knowledge from related studies among other European research institutes. Intensive field and laboratory studies were carried out, spanning three vegetation periods at numerous sampling sites throughout Berlin. The "BerlinCam" program consisted of five tasks, conducted simultaneously.
