The newly built ten-kilometre Autobahn section of the A 113 connects the outer circular road (Südring) with the inner Berliner Ring as a continuation of the A 13 Berlin-Dresden. In this section the road continuously passes through the course of the former Wall strip and essentially reshapes its character. The Autobahn line will run south along the Teltowkanal along the east side of the Neukölln-Osthafen in the Treptow district. Due to the comprehensive ongoing construction, the appearance of the area described is changing rapidly. Only scattered remnants and traces of the inner city border fortifications remain throughout the entire area to the south-east along the Teltow canal.
