The two formerly independent city districts of Schöneberg and Tempelhof are now merged in a single, multi-facetted district:
Schöneberg has always been associated with colourful vitality, and it offers a variety of locations for trade, services and culture, whereas Tempelhof is characterised by extensive suburban residential areas and industrial sites.
Since 1 January 2001, when the administrations of Schöneberg and Tempelhof were unified, the new district has already made considerable progress towards a successful common future.
